Recently, Lee Paxton with Central Florida Safety taught a CPR/First Aid/AED class for 28 newly hired COMANCO employees. This was a large class with each person experiencing a simulation of a CPR situation. This class covers the dynamics of CPR and First Aid in a controlled environment on dummies. It also includes processes and procedures regarding the usage of an AED. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a lightweight, portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart. Learning these techniques and how to use the equipment is paramount when working in the field.
