The 9-man COMANCO crew led by Superintendent Tony Sanchez recently began the liner installation of a new landfill cell in Jacksonville, TX. This project involves the installation of approximately 213,000 SF of an initial layer of geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) over the slopes and floor of the project. Nearly 174,000 SF of both 60mil Textured HDPE Geomembrane and 200mil DS geocomposite will be installed on the floor. This project also includes the installation of nearly 50,000 SF of both 60mil Smooth HDPE Geomembrane and 200mil SS geocomposite on the slopes.
Throughout the course of the project, the new cell will be tied-in to a previously constructed cell. The crew is staying focused and working safely as the project progresses.
