Last week, COMANCO Environmental introduced the arrival of a John Deere 1575 Terrain Cut Commercial Front Mower Machine that has been modified with a JD 60 Heavy Duty Rotary Broom. After initial safety and task training, this machine was brought North to aid in finishing a 60-acre landfill closure in Georgia. The landfill was capped with a 50-mil LLDPE liner and then an artificial ClosureTurf product. To protect the ClosureTurf, a sand infill material is placed over the artificial turf, and it needs to be brushed in. This new machine is greatly helping the sand brushing process move more efficiently.
