COMANCO nears completion of an 11.5 acre landfill cell expansion in Bartow, FL. COMANCO has been working to complete the new landfill cell since August and will complete the work before year’s end. With the cell subgrade complete, the liner crew, led by Arnulfo Martinez, has been working on the installation of the six layer geosynthetics system. As they install the primary composite (top layer), the earthwork crew, led by Superintendent Bill Newman, has already started installing the protective cover layer.
This project is an excellent example of COMANCO’s turnkey capability and showcases how seamless the transitions are when the earthwork and liner crews balance well and work together to provide a quality product in a safe and timely manner.
