Spearheaded by Superintendent Martin Calderon and his diligent crew, COMANCO nears 50% completion of a closure project in Western Texas.
Unlike typical closures, this project makes use of the up-and-coming closure turf style of material (tan in this case to match the surrounding landscape), forming the protective/aesthetic outermost layer of our three-layer system. Directly underneath is a layer of 40 mil LLDPE (low linear density polyethylene) liner to form the environmental barrier of the design with a layer of geotextile cushion forming the bottom-most portion of our closure system.
With a total of more than 900,000 SF of each layer to be installed and a sand infill to be done at the end as the final step of the project, be sure to stay tuned for more news from West Texas!
