The COMANCO Crew, led by superintendents Pablo Medina and Carlos Garcia, is reporting from South Jordan, Utah. This 10 Acre project contains a unique multi-layer geosynthetic system spread across three areas of this project.

The Northern & Southern slopes will contain a 6oz Geotextile cushion bottom layer followed by a reinforced GCL middle layer with a 60mil HDPE White Geomembrane top layer. The cell floor will contain a reinforced GCL bottom layer, 60mil HDPE white Geomembrane middle layer, and a Geocomposite Drain net top layer.

Sitting adjacent to the cell floor is a leachate pond that will consist of a 4-layer system containing a reinforced GCL Bottom Primary Layer, a 60mil HDPE White Primary Geomembrane Layer, a reinforced GCL Secondary Layer, and a 60mil HDPE White Secondary Geomembrane layer. Overall, the project will include installing more than 561,000 SF each of reinforced GCL & 60mil HDPE White Geomembrane, over 270,000 SF of Geocomposite, and 172,000 SF of Geotextile.

The scope also includes digging more than 1,930 LF of anchor trench and 1,470 LF of tie-in to the existing cell. The crew is off to a great start having installed over 335,000 SF each of GCL & Geomembrane, almost 60,000 SF of Geocomposite, and 113,000 SF of geotextile. The COMANCO crew works safely and diligently to finish the job on time and make the customer happy.

Stay tuned to see the finished work of this fantastic crew.
