On Friday, June 17th, Nathalia Plante, HR & Benefits Administrator attended a training session titled “The Employment Law Seminar” at the Hyatt Airport Hotel in Tampa, FL. The training sponsor and presenter was Bob Whiting from Whiting & Associates, Inc.
The items covered in this seminar included an overview of various employment law topics including Obama Care, Federal Civil Rights Laws, State Employment Laws, Personnel Record Keeping Compliance, Equal Opportunity Employment, Employment-at-will, etc.
This training provided some excellent insights, updated regulations, mandates and laws to confirm that the HR department is operating in compliance with the most current information available.
