Today a group of new field employees wrap up day three of the MSHA New Miner Training Course instructed by David Gray with Safety Solutions and Supply. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requires any newly employed, inexperienced miner to complete a 24 hour training prior to working at any mining operation. Some of the topics being covered in this course include the mining environment, hazard recognition and avoidance, emergency procedures, hazard reporting rules & procedures, statutory rights of miners, first-aid and so much more.
This training ultimately provides our employees with a valuable learning experience that inspires good judgment and safe work habits for many years of working safely in mining.
