COMANCO Honors our Veterans

by

On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 America celebrates Veterans Day and gives honor to those courageous men and women who died serving and protecting our Country, are currently serving, and are retired veterans.

COMANCO joins in paying tribute to four of our employees who are proud to be retired Veterans:

Matt DiTarando - Mil 1 Matt DiTarando - shadow box???????????????????????????????

Matt DiTarando, COMANCO IT Generalist, joined the U.S. Air Force in 1989.  In 1992 while assigned to Yokota Air Base in Japan, he transitioned from Aircraft maintenance to Information Technology.  His final position with the Air Force as Systems Administrator contributed towards a smooth transition to his role at COMANCO.  Matt looks back on his time with the Air Force with fond memories.

Don Goodson, COMANCO Fleet Accountant and DOT Coordinator, served in the U.S. Marine Corps from September 1985 until March 1996.  Don tells us that the military provided an experience he will never be able to duplicate and that “in order to understand it fully, one would have to live it”.

John Jacobs - Mil 1  John Jacobs shadow box???????????????????????????????
John Jacobs, COMANCO Senior Estimator, served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1990 until 1996.  He received his basic training in Paris Island, SC.  While serving, he supported the air invasion of Iraq during Desert Storm. John tells us he is very proud to have served over the course of six years.

Robert Spurgeon, COMANCO Mechanic, served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2009 until March, 2014. Robert served in Security Operations in Jordan.  He was a motor transportation mechanic while stationed in Cherry Point, Havelock, NC.  His rank was that of Corporal.  He was in charge of approximately 30 marines.  He tells us that he gained a lot of life’s experience as well as professional experience while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Thank you, Matt, Don, John and Robert for serving our Country and sharing your experience with us. We are honored that you have chosen COMANCO as your employer!
