Since the beginning of August, COMANCO Environmental has been upgrading the West Contra Costa Sanitary Landfill in Richmond, California. Led by Paul Marks acting as the project’s Project Manager and Superintendent, COMANCO has been working closely with subcontractor, C.Overaa & Co. performing site and concrete work.
The scope of work has included importing soil and gravel, the modification of an existing concrete berm and pouring of new concrete slabs for additional equipment to be brought in by West County Landfill, Inc. The concrete work came to a finish Wednesday, October 12th with a projected project completion date of December 31, 2011.
The remainder of the project will consist of bringing in the new equipment to tie-in with the existing landfill equipment. COMANCO will have 4 men performing the plumbing work and will be working with an electrical subcontractor to make all the electrical connections.
