When operating different types of equipment, it is not only critical to know the proper use of the equipment it is important to know the proper way to shut down and park the equipment. COMANCO operators know when the Telehandler Forklift is parked and not in use they follow the proper procedures.
- The boom has to be down.
- Outriggers have to be down.
- The machine has to be shut off.
- The equipment should always be out of the way of the flow of traffic.
Whenever in doubt or unsure on the use or how to park the equipment, always ask your Supervisor for guidance. If there are any deficiencies found on the equipment during the initial inspection or at the end of the day, the COMANCO employee writes down the problem on the inspection sheet and reports this to the Supervisor.
