Tracer Electronics of Lebanon Tennessee gave a demonstration of their LMX200 Ground Penetrating Radar Cart. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is used to located underground utilities prior to digging. The technology has been around for more than a decade and has made locating utilities easier.
COMANCO is considering the purchase of a GPR cart to assist with field operations to locate underground pipes and cables. The cost of purchasing the unit and training an operator is far less than the cost of failing to identify hidden utilities that results in damage.
The 3-D views provided by the LMX200 can be viewed and saved on a variety of devises including smart phones and tablets. COMANCO continues to adopt new technology to improve operational efficiency and deliver a superior job at a competitive price.
