COMANCO has completed the liner installation for a new 7-acre landfill cell in St. Augustine, Florida. This was the first cell to be constructed at a brand new Construction & Debris Landfill Facility scheduled to open at the end of this year. A Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) was installed down the invert of the cell, and 60mil HDPE textured geomembrane & geocomposite spanned the entire 7-acres of the new Construction & Debris cell. COMANCO is also responsible for the earthwork on this project and worked diligently to ensure that subgrade was maintained ahead of the liner crew. The earthwork crew is also keeping up the structural quality of the roads and berms to provide a safe environment for everyone on site. Despite it being Florida’s rainy season, the crew remained dedicated to completing this phase of the project by following the “COMANCO WAY” OF SAFETY, QUALITY, AND SERVICE!
