Superintendent Juan Gomez and his 12 man crew completed a 3 acre landfill cell expansion in Odessa, Texas earlier this week. The scope of work consisted of installing 125,000 SF of geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), 130,000 SF of 60 mil HDPE liner and 125,000 SF of geocomposite. In addition, nearly 1,000 LF of tie-in to the existing landfill system was completed using an extrusion weld. Although the crew endured serious winter climatic conditions, the project was completed successfully in a safe manner.
