COMANCO Superintendent Martin Calderon and his 10-man crew recently began work on a 2,000,000sf Gyp Stack expansion in South East Idaho. While staging the material, Martin took the opportunity to train two newer members of his crew to set up and perform qualifying welds. Performing machine setup and test welding is the first building block in training future Wedge technicians.
This training will allow these employees to test for their IAGI CWT certification which verifies that our welders have experience in geomembrane welding and meet industry standards of skill. COMANCO continues to increase the number of internationally recognized Certified Welding Technicians by giving our employees the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in Geosynthetics welding.
