COMANCO Construction took the first significant step in the construction of the new Hernando County NW Landfill Operations Building today. Starting early last Friday with the help of the county’s mobile light plant, COMANCO’s Superintendent Todd Kirkman led the efforts and our concrete contractor set up and prepped to pour the foundation slab for the new building. By lunch, 80 CY of concrete was pumped into the formwork. The monolithic pour included both a front and back porch slab with concrete stairways leading up to them. IT Manager Matt DiTarando was onsite to fly COMANCO’s UAV overhead to provide some fantastic aerial shots of the pour. Next up, the exterior concrete masonry block wall work will begin, and the building will start taking shape.
