COMANCO Environmental has finished the liner installation for a tank containment project in Southeast, Georgia. 4 storage tank bases were lined with an 80-mil HDPE smooth geomembrane. The liner was mechanically fastened to the concrete wall through the use of batten bar and extrusion welding was used to patch the liner around the tanks’ support columns. 3 of the 4 tanks were enclosed and one still open with a shell to be placed over the pad in the future. The diameters of these tanks ranged from 49′ to 109′. Overall, 25,400 SF of geomembrane and 1,100 LF of batten bar were installed to complete the project.
