Just this past week, COMANCO was able to complete the first portion of pipework on a pond renovation project in Central Florida. Superintendent Matt Carroll along with Supervisor Justino Macedo led the crew as they began work on the gas vent outlet. Step one of the first phase included excavating a trench for the 4” HDPE perforated pipe. They then had to install geocomposite and drainage gravel which surrounds the pipe, all of which is wrapped in 8oz non-woven geotextile. COMANCO also installed a HDPE plate that adds stability to the system at the subgrade level. In the coming weeks the crew will be placing a protective cover layer of gypsum over the liner, and at that time the remaining pipework will be completed. Continue to check back in as the pipework wraps up!
