COMANCO recently wrapped up the 3rd & final phase of a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) liner replacement project near Spartanburg, SC. Overall, three existing holding basins had their liner systems replaced. Each basin had to be completed separately to keep the facility functional throughout this process. Over 60,000 SF of new 60-mil HDPE geomembrane was installed. The liner was mechanically secured to concrete structures within the basins using batten bar (716 LF total), and pipe penetrations were made water-tight with pipe boots (17 EA). Supervisor, Alejandro Loza led the crews on all three mobilizations and came away with another safe & successful, quality project. Upon completion, the crew was treated to a Safety Dinner in recognition of their efforts.
