COMANCO crew completes evaporation pond in the overwhelming Nevada heat. With ambient temperatures at 116 degrees and temperatures on the liner at 155-160 degrees, Superintendent Tony Sanchez and crew worked through extreme heat to bring another COMANCO project to completion. The 5.5-acre evaporation pond consisted of 4 layers of geosynthetics material; close coordination with the general contractor on site had to be maintained to keep the project moving on schedule. This was paramount to keep our customer’s expectation and the end result of on-time performance for their operations.
Following COMANCO’S Safety Policy and guidelines for extreme heat, no heat illness incidents happened, and another safe, successful COMANCO project is complete.
