COMANCO Completes Energy Dissipater Construction at Pasco County Landfill

COMANCO recently completed the construction of an energy dissipater at the West Pasco County Landfill.  The project entailed re-grading the slope and tying-in the existing liner on the side of the cell to the new fabriform (GFFR)  that was poured to handle the water coming off the cell.  The fabriform was installed so that at the bottom of the slope there is an energy dissipater built into the fabriform to handle any excessive amounts of water.  Additionally, four new concrete bollards were installed at the base of the fabriform.  COMANCO was able to complete the project safely while working near an existing monitoring well.  There were also additional measures taken during the project to ensure there will be no future washouts at the site.  The project was led my Project Manager Matt Remmert and Project Superintendent Todd Kirkman.
