COMANCO is nearing substantial completion at the Polk Co. NCLF Phase V project in Winter Haven, FL. They have begun building perimeter roadways including a one (1) foot thick, 310 cubic yard concrete access at the north-east corner of subcell V1. This location will be used as a stopping point for trash trucks to put up their tarps before proceeding to the unloading areas within the new 30-acre cell expansion.
Led by Superintendent Bill Newman, the night shift team did an outstanding job coordinating with their concrete haulers, completing the pour on schedule before landfill operations commenced that same morning. Please see photos below of the concrete pour that took place early morning this week
