COMANCO recently completed the geosynthetics installation on a biofilter system in Venice, FL. The biofilter is a part of a larger odor control system being constructed for the betterment of the City of Venice at a Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The biofilter works by flowing the water through multiple layers of biofilter media, and allowing microorgansisms to attach and grow in the media, to treat the water. This system utilizes a combination HDPE liner, Non-Woven Geotextile, and a Geonet grid. The crew was led by Superintendent Charlie Ingle.
