Today, we celebrate the retirement of Tomas Aguilar, a dedicated employee whose talents and commitment have left an unforgettable mark on the company. Since Tomas joined us on August 29, 2011, his work ethic, attention to detail, and unwavering reliability during the last 14 years have shaped countless projects and defined the very core of what we do.
As Tomas transitions to the next chapter of his life, we want to look back on the remarkable milestones that have defined his career—numbers that speak volumes about his dedication to excellence and his ability to go above and beyond.
Tomas’ Achievements
One of Tomas’ standout achievements is his work on the wedge, where he welded an astonishing 356,471 linear feet (67.51 miles). To put that into perspective, it’s roughly equivalent to walking the entire coastline of a beach—twice! That’s a lot of miles traveled, and in Tomas’ case, it’s a journey of skill and precision, each foot welded with purpose.
While the miles on the wedge are impressive, Tomas has also made his mark on the extrusion gun, where he’s welded nearly 10,000 linear feet, which is just shy of 2 miles. Though smaller in distance, these welds were no less critical to the success of each project.
Over the course of his career, Tomas has taken 1013 DTs , and his success rate has been nothing short of remarkable. With only 7 failures—a failure rate of just 0.69%—Tomas has set a high bar for quality and reliability. And perhaps most impressively, Tomas hasn’t failed a single DT since 2022, ending his career on an even higher note.
Tomas has been part of 41 major projects, covering an incredible 22,263,841.47 square feet—which is the equivalent of over 511 acres.
