Last week, COMANCO Environmental commenced on a 4-acre Dairy Farm Pond project in Bell, Florida. Supervisor, Kenny Frazier and crew started with stripping the existing surface to remove any organic materials then began a mass excavation operation to start digging the pond. In total, ~30,000 CY of soil will be cut, filled and hauled off to establish the pond’s shape. Once the pond is cut down to grade with 4:1 slopes, it will be lined with a 60-mil HDPE geomembrane to help prevent any water loss. COMANCO has been contracted to complete both the earthwork and geosynthetic activities for this project.
