COMANCO Environmental has started construction on a 4.5-acre partial landfill closure and a 33-acre subgrade preparation for a future landfill expansion in Punta Gorda, FL. The closure portion will be capped with import soil, covered with sod and will include new 12″ HDPE corrugated pipe for storm water improvements. The expansion part of the project is currently going through mass vegetative clearing & grubbing before the import of a soil sub-base. Roughly 150,000 CY of import soils will be required for the entire project.
