A 9-man COMANCO crew led by Superintendent, Carlos Garcia, began deployment and installation of two sediment ponds in California. The two sediment ponds consist of secondary and primary layers of 60mil Smooth HDPE Liner with a 200mil Geonet drainage layer. The crew has completed the installation of each layer for both sediment ponds which includes 155,248 SF of 60mil Smooth HDPE Liner and 77,640 SF of 200mil Geonet. A total of five pipe boots and 55 LF of batten bar have also been installed for the two sediment ponds.
The crew is currently starting the installation of a single layer mixture of 60mil HDPE smooth and textured liner for the wetland pond located nearby the two sediment ponds. The wetland pond will consist of a 153,000 SF combination of 60mil HDPE smooth and textured liner; 13 pipe boots; and 36 LF of batten bar. The crew is staying focused on maintaining a safe and efficient manner of work throughout the course of the project, and we look forward to seeing the progression.
