A COMANCO crew has just finished up some maintenance work on a ditch at a closed chemical plant in Florida. Led by Project Superintendent Charlie Ingle, the crew replaced some 18″ HDPE pipes at the end of the ditch leading into a pond and backfilled and compacted the area. The flow of water is now steady, and the water levels are equalized. The crew had to be cautious of wildlife in the swampy conditions, but there were no incidents associated with this work.
