COMANCO Completes Detailed Pond Liner Installation in Bonita Springs, Florida

COMANCO recently completed a pond liner installation that put those skills into practice. Completed this month, the project included the installation of approximately 40,000 square feet of 60-mil HDPE textured liner, or approximately 40 full-sized tennis courts, along with batten bar and ballast tubes.
Led by Superintendent Martin Calderon, the crew completed the project safely and efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on quality throughout the installation.
A Pond with a Unique Installation Challenge
One of the most notable features of this project was a pump house structure that occupied approximately one-quarter of the pond.
Structures within a lined containment area can add significant detail work to an installation. Rather than having one uninterrupted pond surface, the crew had to work carefully around the pump house to ensure the liner was properly installed and integrated around the structure.
This required precision and attention to detail from the crew throughout the installation.
The project included approximately:
- 40,000 SF of 60-mil HDPE textured liner supplied by SKAPS.
- 60 large ballast tubes (sandbags)
- Batten bar installation
- Detailed liner work around the pump house structure
