A COMANCO crew was recently onsite at a West Central Florida Power Plant to perform routine liner repairs on several containment ponds.
Before the project began, the crew performed a JHA and discussed the safety issues on the project. With the scope of work located on a slope, the crew took all safety precautions before beginning the work.
The liner technicians performed several repairs for the 60mil HDPE smooth liner. Once the repairs were completed, the crew performed vacuum box testing to ensure no leaks in the welds and the integrity of the liner material repaired was maintained.
Keeping these containment ponds operating at peak efficiency helps to keep our planet and the environment safe.
