COMANCO Environmental recently finished a landfill expansion project in Corvallis, Oregon. Trying to finish up before the rainy Oregon winter kicked in, Superintendent Arnulfo Martinez and his 30-man crew did an outstanding job, while keeping a strong emphasis on safety. The new cell is just under 550,000 square feet and has the following materials: three layers of HDPE textured liner, two layers of geocomposite, three layers of geotextile, and one layer of GCL. Multiple layers of gravel had to be placed between different layers of geosynthetics, meaning that Arnulfo and crew had to coordinate closely with other contractors to successfully complete the project. COMANCO would like to congratulate the team on another project completed the COMANCO way, safely and efficiently.
