COMANCO recently made some LLDPE liner repairs on a closed landfill near central Florida. The damage was due to a fire generated by a lightning strike during an afternoon Florida summer storm. COMANCO mobilized onsite on schedule with the owner’s request and made the repairs to the LLDPE geomembrane liner, then backfilled and sodded. The damage was minimal because the liner was protected by 2’ of cover soil, and the crew completed the work in only one day.
