COMANCO recently completed lining over 25 acres for a power plant near central Florida. The project consisted of the supply and installation of over 400,000sf of 80 mil HDPE White Textured Geomembrane on the slopes and perimeter berm cap, approximately 175,000sf of 30 mil Gundseal for the slopes, over 800,000sf of 80 mil HDPE White Smooth Geomembrane and 15 mil Gundseal for the floor, approximately 130,000sf of Composite Drainage Net for the ditch, and over 7,500 LF of extrusion welding for the perimeter berm cap. COMANCO also excavated and backfilled the anchor trenches for the liner which accumulated over 15,000 LF. The project was installed in 2 phases; the first was completed in October 2014 and the second finished in January 2015.
The project finished well ahead of substantial completion to the client’s satisfaction, with zero injuries! The COMANCO crews throughout the job performed very well looking out for everyone and following safe procedures on a site that had numerous contractors working in proximity to each other.
