Yesterday, COMANCO Environmental began work on a landfill expansion in the Mid-West USA region. Superintendant, Tony Sanchez is leading a 12 man crew for a 7 acre expansion to an existing landfill. The project consists of installing 300,000 square feet of 60-mil textured HDPE geomembrane, as well as 300,000 square feet of 12 oz/ SY Geotextile. In addition, the liner will be tied-in to the existing liner system by an extrusion weld. Prior to work starting, a safety meeting and job-specific hazards analysis was completed. The crew finally got ready for work by performing their daily stretches.
