As a part of COMANCO’s strategy to reinforce our overall safety culture every crew is encouraged to hold a safety lunch when goals are reached. Goals include safe man hours, extraordinary safety awareness or completion of the project without accidents. For the Riverview crew, the goal was set to complete an entire month safely without incident or accident. To date we have not only met that goal but surpassed it, we have worked six months with an average crew size of 45-50 people working 7-9 thousand man hours each month. COMANCO’s crew will continue working 7 days a week to meet a scheduled dead line on March 31st. During each safety lunch, workers are given a small token of appreciation; today was a COMANCO T-shirt, previously gift cards had been awarded. A special thanks to John Brown, Mosaic’s representative, for speaking to our crew and praising their hard and safe work ethic on this project. COMANCO will continue to hold overall safety in the highest regard on every project.
