COMANCO’s newly hired employees are attending their second day of Phosphate Basic 16 Hour Training. The first day of training was instructed by Mike Frazier of Safety Solutions and Supply. Mike Frazier’s training consists of classroom and hands-on training which engages employees in asking questions, teaching and preparing them for a safe mindset, prior to starting work on the jobsite.
Today, Foster Thorpe, with Safety Solutions and Supply, is instructing the second day of Phosphate Basic 16 Hour Training. Foster Thorpe has been an instructor for many years and in addition to classroom training, he takes the time to do hands-on training to improve understanding and provide a better learning experience.
Safety Solutions and Supply’s instructors ensure all COMANCO employees are trained in compliance with the Florida Phosphate Producers (FPP) procedures. The requirements and course material presented is based on the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
