ClosureTurf Mississippi Installation Continues
Foreman Carlos Garcia and the COMANCO crew continue making excellent progress on the ClosureTurf Mississippi project. This large-scale environmental remediation effort is transforming a former industrial site through the installation of an advanced closure system designed to provide long-term environmental protection.
As work progresses, the crew continues covering the nearly 3-million-square-foot project area while maintaining COMANCO’s commitment to Safety, Quality, and Service.
Installing the ClosureTurf System
The ClosureTurf Mississippi project combines engineered geomembrane liners with a specialized synthetic turf system to create a durable landfill closure solution.
Once turf installation is complete, crews will place sand ballast across the surface to stabilize the system and protect it from heavy rainfall, wind, and stormwater events.
This final layer helps ensure the long-term performance of the engineered closure system.
