July New Hire Class Completes Safety Training
July New Hire Class Begins with Safety First
At COMANCO, safety is the foundation of every successful project. The July New Hire Class recently completed an intensive week-long training program designed to prepare new employees for safe, productive careers in environmental construction.
From their very first day, members of the July New Hire Class were introduced to COMANCO’s safety culture, workplace expectations, and the importance of recognizing and preventing potential hazards before beginning work in the field.
Safety Training Curriculum
The July New Hire Class completed comprehensive classroom instruction that included:
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- First Aid
- OSHA 10
- MSHA
- Florida Phosphate Training
- Mosaic Site Courses
Each course helps employees develop the knowledge and confidence needed to perform their jobs safely while meeting industry and customer requirements.
Preparing Employees for the Field
At COMANCO, safety training goes beyond the classroom. Employees learn how to identify work-related hazards, understand jobsite risks, and follow procedures that protect both themselves and their coworkers.
One of the most important concepts taught during training is situational awareness. Every employee is reminded to remain alert, recognize potential hazards, and exercise their Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe conditions are identified.
These practices help reinforce COMANCO’s commitment to maintaining one of the safest work environments in the industry.
Hands-On Task Training
In addition to classroom instruction, the July New Hire Class participated in hands-on equipment and task training inside COMANCO’s Fleet Shop.
This practical experience introduces new employees to the equipment, tools, and installation methods they will encounter on active construction projects. Learning these skills before arriving on a jobsite builds confidence while improving safety and productivity from day one.
Building COMANCO’s Future
Professional development starts the moment a new employee joins COMANCO. By investing in comprehensive safety education and hands-on training, the company continues building skilled professionals who are prepared to deliver exceptional results for clients nationwide.
Congratulations to everyone in the July New Hire Class on successfully completing training. We appreciate your commitment, participation, and enthusiasm, and we look forward to watching each of you grow with the COMANCO team.
