Seminole County Scalehouse Project Reaches Major Milestones
The Seminole County Scalehouse Project recently reached several major construction milestones as COMANCO crews continue making strong progress on the Seminole County Osceola Road Landfill Scalehouse and Road Improvements Project. Careful coordination, safety planning, and teamwork have allowed the project to move forward efficiently while keeping active landfill traffic flowing throughout construction operations.
The Seminole County Scalehouse Project includes roadway improvements, scalehouse construction, paving operations, and installation of engineered structural components designed to improve long-term landfill operations and traffic management at the facility.
Roadway Improvements and Asphalt Paving
One of the largest milestones completed this week was the first phase of asphalt paving surrounding the new scalehouse facility. Due to the active nature of landfill operations, COMANCO crews worked closely with Seminole County personnel and project stakeholders to ensure landfill traffic remained unimpeded during paving operations.
Proper scheduling and traffic control measures were essential to maintaining safe access for customers, heavy equipment operators, and landfill personnel throughout construction activities.
The newly paved roadway system will improve traffic flow, durability, and operational efficiency around the scalehouse while supporting long-term landfill infrastructure improvements.
Scalehouse Construction Progress
Another exciting milestone for the Seminole County Scalehouse Project was the arrival and erection of the engineered canopies that will serve as both a functional and architectural feature of the facility. These canopies are a key component of the project’s exterior design and will provide protection and operational support for vehicles utilizing the scalehouse system.
Inside the building, construction crews are completing finish work as the facility begins taking final shape. Interior systems, finishes, and inspections are progressing steadily as the project moves closer toward completion.
Superintendent Tommy Terry has successfully coordinated crews, subcontractors, deliveries, and construction sequencing while maintaining COMANCO’s commitment to safety, quality, and service throughout every stage of the project.
