Superintendent Jorge Gomez and his COMANCO team recently completed a partial landfill cell closure project in the Central Florida area. This landfill cell closure involved the installation of 169,096 square feet of 40-mil textured HDPE geomembrane, 169,096 square feet of 200-mil double-sided composite drainage material, and 4,500 square feet of 6-ounce non-woven geotextile. These geosynthetic materials work together to create a durable protective barrier that helps control water infiltration, manage drainage, and reduce the potential for environmental contamination.
