COMANCO Environmental continues deployment at a Southern California borax mine. The crew is installing vertical expansions to five separate ponds. The crew has finished up the third pond and is almost half way complete with the fourth. Over 971,000 SF of 60mil Smooth White Conductive HDPE Liner, 975,000 SF of 200mil Geonet, and 504,000 SF of GCL have been installed on the project. Over 13,800 SF of 60mil Textured HDPE Liner and 10 HDPE pipe boots have also been installed. The installation includes spark testing all of the conductive white liner.
The 13 man crew, led by Superintendent Martin Calderon and Project Engineer Kip Thompson, has managed to stay ahead of schedule without incident despite facing strong winds on a daily basis. We look forward to seeing the progress on this project as it gets closer to completion.
Great work COMANCO!
