The geosynthetics installation began last week at a new landfill expansion cell in central Florida. The crew, led by Foreman Jorge Gomez, Project Engineer Craig Stevenson and Project Manager Matt Remmert will be installing a 5 layer system over the 11.5 acre cell comprised of Geosynthetic Clay Liner, secondary 60mil Geomembrane, secondary Geocomposite Drainage Net, primary 60mil Geomembrane and primary Gecomposite Drainage Net.
The crew went over the safety hazards of the job and did a full walkthrough of the entire cell before beginning deployment, staying true to COMANCO’s standards of Safety, Quality, and Service. The job is expected to finish in June.
