COMANCO Makes Headway on an Active MGMS System
COMANCO makes headway on an Active MGMS (Methane Gas Management System) installation in Miami Gardens, FL. Methane Gas Management Systems ensure that methane gas cannot enter buildings. Once the project is complete, this system will deviate methane gasses underneath the liner through a series of geovent strips and PVC pipes for safe containment. This project is an Active System, meaning a pump continuously forces methane gases from under the building. With toxic fumes eliminated, future warehouse tenants will have a sustainable working environment.
With stage one of Building A complete, the crew is currently working on stage one of Building B. So far, they have installed about;
- 725 FT of outlet pipe per building
- 1500 FT of header pipe per building
- 28,000 LF of Geovent per building
- 815,000 SF of 60 Mil Smooth Liner per building
