COMANCO recently began a drainge pipe system installation project on a 70-acre sand tailings pond at a mine in Central Florida. The system will be made up of approximately 4,500 LF of 36″ corrugated HDPE pipe and 20,000 LF of 12″ corrugated HDPE pipe covering a vast majority of the pond. The entire system will drain water under the sand tailings in to a sump and into an Outfall pond from there. The crew is being led by Charlie Ingle, Site Superintendent; Dragan Milosavljevic, Project Manager; and Nick Bridges and Mohammad Lutfiyya, Project Engineers.
