A 14-man crew, led by Superintendent Chase Yarbrough, is nearly complete with the subgrade preparation of a 7-acre landfill cell in northeast Florida. In the upcoming week, the crew will push to complete the remaining earthwork so that liner installation can begin next week. Utilizing 40-ton haul trucks to import fill from an on-site borrow pit and the skillful hand of bulldozer operators, the cell is within inches of final grade. Surveyor, Blake Long has been working to ensure that the cell is laid out & constructed as designed by the Engineer all while helping the Superintendent maintain a safe and positive working environment while this final push is made.
