The first 2 layers of geosynthetics (GCL and secondary 60-mil HDPE geomembrane) have been installed in the first cell at ACMS Class I Landfill in Sumterville, FL. Led by Superintendent Arnulfo Martinez, the team has worked hard, safe and efficient to stay on schedule. Work on Cell 2 is on pace to start this week. Meanwhile, the construction at the tank containment area is progressing simultaneously. Grading for the concrete footers and slab-on-grade started last week with concrete to follow. This area will house six 44,000+ gallon leachate tanks. Please enjoy the photos below showing the progress.
