COMANCO has been continuing work on a gyp stack closure project at a chemical plant in Florida. The crew has set 4 of the 17 manholes around the southwest side of the stack, and 24″ header pipe is beginning to be set in place and fused to the manholes. The crew has also set a 36″ culvert in place. On the same site, another crew has been progressing on lining a cooling pond with HDPE liner and geocomposite. The pond is covered about half of the 160 acre cooling pond to date. The crews are being led by Project Superintendents Gary Mitchell at Max Macedo.
