COMANCO recently completed a drain system installation project for a sand tailings pit on a mine in Central Florida. The crew installed 4,000 LF of 36″ HDPE pipe and 20,000 LF of 12″ HDPE pipe wrapped in geocomposite for storm drainage into an Outfall Pond. Due to the type of material (sand) and saturation of the soil underneath, the means and methods of construction had to be carefully planned and thought out. This paid off as the project was completed with no safety incidents, under budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction.
The crew was led Project Superintendent Charlie Ingle, Project Manager Dragan Milosavljevic, Senior Project Engineer Nick Bridges, and Project Engineer Mohammad Lutfiyya. Great work, team!
