Improvements to the treatment pond at the Florida Caribbean Distillers, in Auburndale Florida have been completed by Superintendent Billy Wilson and crew. The improvements included raising the perimeter of the pond to increase capacity, removal of existing liner and installation of new 60 mil HDPE liner, installation of gas vents, construction of a 4” Uniform Section Mat over the bottom of the pond to prevent uplift of the liner during aeration and the addition of road base to allow equipment traffic and access. The pond improvements were completed as scheduled and should be put into full operation on time.
