A COMANCO crew led by Project Superintendent Charlie Ingle coompleted the building of a pipe trench in order to alleviate flooding of a parking lot at a local chemical plant. The crew dug a 150′ trench under the pavement of the parking lot and directed water to a ditch on the other side of the building. They then backfilled the trench and put a fresh layer of asphalt along the top. The same crew also worked on promoting drainage around a gyp stack manhole which was flooding at another local chemical plant. The crew uncovered the soil around the manhole, drilled additional holes around the base, and placed composite and rip rap around the manhole to complete the job.
